Scubadoo dive is doing diving as well as riding a submarine scooter in Mauritius.

Scuba-doo subscooter was primarily design in Australia and used to explore the Great Barrier Reef. Then, as an easy to use utility for introductory dives to a maximum depth of 10 meters.  In Mauritius, scuba-doo scooters are mainly use for leisure diving.

Doing Scuba-Doo dive is completely safe, easy and fun. So easy that children from 8 years old are allowed to do it and even senior persons. This diving activity operates under strict Mauritian, MSDA and PADI health and safety guidelines and policies for Scuba Diving. Even though, no need for lengthy courses or license. After a short introduction, you will be seated on your scooter and off you go exploring the marine world! You do not need to be a strong swimmer to do it. You can also do it even if you suffer from light physical disability. If you can sit and press some buttons, you can do it!

These submarine scooters are self-propelled by electric batteries. All you will have to do is to press some buttons to move forwards to ride amongst the spectacular underwater world, or remain stationary and observe the abundant fishes.

Scubadoo dive in Mauritius means you don't need to wear a mask or a mouthpiece as in normal Scuba diving, and the air tank and diving weights are on the ScubaDoo, not you! You are seated on your Scuba-Doo, with your head and shoulders within a clear dome, your air supply constantly replenished from the scuba tank, enabling you to breath normally!

Program (2 hours)

Except for Mondays and public holidays, scuba-doo dive operate every day from Tuesday to Sunday from 9h00 to 16h00 with one dive every 2 hours.

Participants are expected to be at diving centre in Trou-aux-biches at latest 15 minutes before schedule.

Below is an example of the diving program starting with the first morning dive.

  Before dive

  Filling of medical questionaire. Introduction to scuba-doo dive. diving security briefing.

  Diving

  Drive to catamaran. Briefing from the captain. Get on subscooter and start diving. Two highly qualify divers will accompany for pictures and assistance purposes. Around half hour underwater. Back to catamaran and drive drive back to diving centre

  After dive.

  Watch video of your dive on a big screen. Have a drinks and snacks. In the meantime videos and photos of your dive will be burnt to CD.
